Okay here’s the last part of the Wedding Portrait Photography session I did for my niece. In case you missed the previous parts, here they are:

Wedding Portrait Photography Session: Part 2

My niece is so beautiful and it was so fun taking these pictures for her. I enjoy doing Maternity photos, Newborn photos, Engagement photos and Wedding Portrait photos. If you have a need for any of the above photo sessions and are in the greater Atlanta area please email me at AnneRains@gmail.com.

Wedding Portrait Photography Session: Part 1

My niece, Brittany, wanted some more photos taken after her wedding–who wouldn’t want an excuse to wear your gorgeous wedding dress again?!–so of course I said I’d take them for her. Somehow she was able to convince her hubby to get all dolled up again too. I had so much fun taking these pictures that it made me want to put my dress on again (four years later!) and get some creative photos but sadly my hubby said no. A girl can dream though…

Anyways, here are my favorites from the photography session. We had a lot of fun, we went back to the church they were married in and to the Hilton where they had their reception and also to the Marietta Square. It was a fun day and I was thankful they asked me to do the photography session.

Be sure to check back tomorrow and the day after for parts 2 and 3 of this photography session!

I’ve been away far too long…

I don’t know about you but the time between Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year is always so crazy! My oven somehow becomes my best friend and it seems that we are constantly in the car visiting family and friends or shopping for gifts. As you can see, this year my blog got put on the back burner…but I have a huge stockpile of things I want to post, so I’ll be back soon! Have you have a wonderful day…and be looking for a new post soon!

Here’s a picture that might make you smile…my little love bug the night before Christmas. Yes, I know we’re past that, but it’s just such a happy picture…and Christmas is only 11 months away now, lol!

“Bye, Bye Fall” Photoshoot

I have somewhat of an obsession with taking photos…hardly a day goes by that I don’t take at least one photo of my little man! Before the Christmas season takes over I thought I would post a few Fall themed pictures of Preston. As you can see, he sported a monkey costume for Halloween this year.

Isn’t his shirt so perfect for fall pictures? I love the combination of orange and the grayish-green color.

The good thing about him sitting in a wagon is that he can’t run all over the place…it can be quite challenging capturing an active little boy! I’m learning some tricks though and at some point I have faith that I’ll be able to say, “Stand still please” and he’ll actually do it! (grin)

It’s about time to take the family photo for Christmas cards…need someone to take it for you? I’d be glad to! If you’re in the Metro Atlanta area and are in need of a photographer for Christmas card photos or engagement photos or maternity photos or just cute photos of your kids, contact me at AnneRains@gmail.com.

Fall Reflections

The baby is napping so I have a little free time; I’m sitting at my kitchen table just savoring the quiet moment. My kitchen has the sweet aroma of my caramel apple scented candle that is lit and I’m enjoying a cup of coffee while watching the golden leaves fall outside the window.

Am I the only one who feels that we are having a a particularly beautiful fall season? Maybe I just forget how gorgeous fall is, but it seems to me that the colors are more vibrant this year and they are sticking around longer than usual. I have a large oak tree in my front yard and one in my backyard and I’m really enjoying the turning of the leaves and seeing them blanket the backyard. And the maples! Oh, have you seen the beautiful red maples? There are plenty around where I live and I have been admiring them while driving by.

The beautiful earth and the changing of the seasons reminds me that God created everything and everyone. He is the Master Artist and we should praise Him for these beautiful fall colors and thank Him for our many blessings.

My preacher has been doing a prayer series and he talked about how we should be in constant communication with God throughout our day–it’s as easy as offering up “Twitter-sized prayers.” So here’s mine:

Thank you Lord for your beautiful fall colors; they remind me to slow down and enjoy the beauty of every moment.

Favorite Photos from Crested Butte, Co

Tonight I finally got around to editing my favorite photos I took while on vacation in September to Crested Butte, Colorado. If you have never heard of or visited Crested Butte before you should definitely consider vacationing there! It’s absolutely beautiful and is a fun little mountain town full of great restaurants (you won’t find fast food places or franchises there…just locally owned restaurants with really delicious food!)

If you enjoy snow skiing it’s great to visit in the winter and is cheaper than big name places like Aspen and Vail. Summertime you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting, horse back riding and just taking in the beautiful scenery. And no matter which season you visit in there’s plenty of cute little shops and boutiques for you to explore. I love the slower pace of life in Crested Butte and the fact that you can easily walk or bicycle to get around town (or take the free town shuttle between the town of Crested Butte and up to the ski resort area!)…maybe someday I will move there.

Enjoy these photos!
